About My Work

I am a designer, not a manufacturer, and so I don't make many of the same thing. If you order a piece of jewelry from this site, you will receive the piece in the picture. I rarely duplicate anything, and in fact I find it difficult to make a copy of anything without changing it or trying something new, so I may make pieces that are similar buy not exact. I try to give you accurate descriptions.

For the last ten years I've been working almost exclusively with multi-hole shaped beads. My books now are all about these beads. I find them exciting and wait eagerly for new shapes to come onto the market. If you're a beader and haven't tried these beads, you're in for a treat.

My jewelry is made using the best materials I can find. Every piece of beadwork has to be held together by thread. The thread I use and have used for 15 years is a cyano-acrylic braided multi-strand line. I use a size that is weight-tested to 8 or 10 lb. test strength. It rarely breaks. The only thing I've found that can break this thread is constant wear from a sharp edge. I try to avoid these but a sharp edge may sneak in unnoticed. If any piece of my jewelry breaks I will happily repair or replace it for free, unless this is impossible, then I will give you a refund. However, I cannot extend this warranty past a year.

The beads I use are mostly glass, which may be coated or fired, and I also use some metal beads and metal findings. These pieces are metal plated, brass or stainless steel. Silver and gold are cost-prohibitive at the prices I charge, but I will locate other findings where possible. Contact me regarding any specific needs.

My earrings are made on a closed jump ring, so the earring back or ear wire can easily be changed with small pliers. I do this on necklaces also, but on bracelets it is difficult to apply this because of their width. In the descriptions I indicate the metal used on clasps, in case you are metal sensitive.

I would love to know that someone is wearing and enjoying them. Because these pieces are hand-made, by my own hand, they may not be perfect. You get what you see. If you are unhappy with any product, return it within two weeks and I will refund your payment.
